Welcome to the alp of Emaney, our lovely alpine pasture in the hearth of the mountains!
Located between the mountain lakes of Salanfe and Emosson, Emaney is the perfect place for a short break during your hike.
From the alpine village of Les Marécottes, it is a two hours hike up to the alpine pasture, where we produce since more than forty years an authentic cheese.

July 1. 2012 - The alp is open
A warm June followed the relatively cold spring months, and now the grass is high enough for our cows. Therefore, you will find refreshments and home-made products on the Alp from that day.
The traditional half-summer day will take place on August, the 15th. Feel free to join us!
Please note that the cable car Les Marécottes - La Creuza is closed this summer due to renovation.
August 3. 2012 - Emaney on Radio Rhône
On August the 3rd our alpine pasture was presented on Radio Rhône, the local radio broadcast.
The short report highlighted the magnificient landscapes (Mont-Blanc and Pointes d'Aboillon), the rich and diverse flora and - of course - the great job of the Gabioud's familly!
Our five yaks were also entitled to their moment of glory.
August 15. 2012 - Mid-summer Day on the Alp
Our traditional Mid-summer Day will take place on August, the 15th on the Alp.
Christian worship will be celebrated at 11:00, followed by the possibility to enjoy a typical swiss raclette in a warm athmosphere.
Let's hope for a sunny day!
Exceptionaly this day, access up to Le Temelet via the road Planajeur - La Creusaz is free.
